What We Know: Fall is here, and so is the start of flu season in the Ozarks.
What It Means: The Springfield-Greene County Health Department is reminding residents that flu, COVID-19, RSV, and whooping cough are circulating in the community.
Health officials say now is a good time to get your flu shot, before cases pick up this winter.
The vaccine is recommended for everyone six months and older.
The department also encourages frequent handwashing and staying home when you’re sick.
What’s Next: Flu shots are available at local pharmacies, clinics, and doctors’ offices.
