Greene County residents have until Wednesday July 8th at 5 p.m. to register to vote and be eligible for the August 4th election.
What To Know: To be eligible to vote in the August 4th Primary Election, Greene County residents must be registered to vote by 5:00 on Wednesday, reminds Greene County Clerk Shane Schoeller.
Residents may register to vote in one of the following ways:
- Visit the Office of the County Clerk in the Historic Courthouse in Springfield during business hours
- Visit any Missouri Department of Revenue vehicle license office or any branch of the Springfield-Greene County Library
- Visit the Missouri Secretary of State website at https://www.sos.mo.gov/.
- Mail-in registration will be accepted if postmarked by Wednesday, July 8
For any of the registration methods, you will need valid forms of identification. These include:
- A birth certificate
- Native American tribal document
- Other proof of United States citizenship
- Valid Missouri driver’s license
- Other form of personal identification at the time of registration
Schoeller also reminds Greene County residents that if they have moved within the county or changed their name to contact the County Clerk’s Office to ensure the best voting experience on the day of the election.
