The National Weather Service has extended the Heat Advisory into next week.
The Heat Advisory is now until Tuesday at 7 PM for central and southern portion of the state.
There will be hot temperatures and high humidity with afternoon heat index values of 100 to 107.
Despite the Heat Advisory, the U-S Drought Monitor says Missouri and Arkansas are completely drought-free because of the heavy rains of the spring.
