What We Know: Hot weather, then rain and storms in the Ozarks today. A Heat Advisory is in effect once again, with the National Weather Service saying heat index readings could hit triple digits in some areas.
What It Means: Scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible beginning this afternoon, with a few isolated strong to severe storms possible through the overnight hours.
What’s Next: Damaging wind gusts, large hail, brief heavy downpours, and lightning will be the biggest threats.
Most areas will get some beneficial rain of a half-inch to an inch.
