Heavy Rains Cause Flooding South of I-44

Heavy rains over the weekend into early Monday morning have caused flooding in a number of communities south of Interstate 44.

Between one and two inches of rain have fallen in the southern and eastern Ozarks, causing rivers, creeks, streams and other low-lying areas to flood.

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roadways, because most flooding deaths occur in vehicles.
