What We Know: Victory Mission celebrated two major milestones Monday evening, marking 50 years of serving the community while honoring three graduates of its Restoration Program.

What It Means: The yearlong program helps people rebuild their lives through faith, family support and encouragement from the community.

Participants work to overcome addiction, homelessness and other personal challenges while preparing for a fresh start.

Executive Director Jason Hynson said one of the most rewarding parts of the program is watching people discover hope again.

What’s Next: “They have new jobs, restored relationships with family and a new outlook on life,” Hynson said. “It’s a rebuilding process that takes time.”

Graduate James Ryan said he spent two decades living a life of crime before deciding it was time for a change.
