Jefferson Avenue Footbridge Receiving Over $10 Million In Renovations

Springfield City Council has voted to go ahead with the rehabilitation of the Historic Jefferson Avenue Footbridge.

Several options were presented to the Council with the most comprehensive, and expensive option being chosen.

It will cost about $10.8 Million in total to fully restore the historic bridge. About $8 Million will come from the state of Missouri.

Council will likely approve a bill accepting that bid at a meeting in the future.
