Judge Denies Bond Request For Dedmon

A Christian County judge has denied a request for bond for a man accused of a fatal shooting on the Ozarks square in May.

47 year old Matthew Dedmon of Ozark faces a first degree murder charge in the death of 57 year old Joe Newburn.

The shooting happened on May 28 near the historic courthouse in the 100 block of West Church Street.

Dedmon confronted Newburn and accused him of having an affair with his wife.

Investigators say Dedmon allegedly shot Newburn three times.
