The southwest Missouri community has been sharing and donating to a GoFundMe started to support the family of Leah Hyde, a 24 year-old woman that was killed in a crash on James River Freeway Tuesday. As of Friday morning, that GoFundMe has raised $47,000.

What We Know: Hyde had stepped out of her vehicle after hitting the center median when a vehicle attempting to pass struck and killed her. Hyde had been pregnant with her first child, a baby girl named Lark.

Family and friends of Leah’s have come forward to speak about how caring and compassionate she was. A GoFundMe was started on Wednesday to help support her family after the loss.

After being shared several times, the GoFundMe has seen great success with more than 600 people having donated and over $47,000 being raised.

“She spent her life giving to others — your generosity is a beautiful reflection of the love she put into the world,” the fundraiser states.
