Low Potential of Strong to Severe Thunderstorms Late Tuesday Night Through Wednesday Afternoon

After a long absence, rain is moving back into the Ozarks this week, and some thunderstorms will accompany it.

The National Weather Service says scattered showers and a few storms will develop later Monday evening and Monday night, with the best chances along and north of Interstate 44.

Amounts of a quarter to a half inch are possible.

Forecasters say more storms will push through Tuesday night and Wednesday, with a couple of strong thunderstorms along a front.

The threat for strong to severe storms is expected to remain limited in coverage.

Marginal instability and shallow moisture return are expected to limit the severe threat.
