Man Arrested, Under Investigation for Church Fire in Ironton

Authorities say a man from Ironton is in custody, and is believed to be connected to a fire that burned down a local church.

Brendan Harris faces several unspecified felony charges, and is currently out on parole for charges of burglary.

Officers were called to the Gospel Trinity Pentecostal Church early Wednesday morning and found the building in flames.

The church was almost completely burned to the ground, and was declared a total loss.

Authorities were later contacted Wednesday afternoon about Harris, and found items that were stolen from the church at the scene. They tracked him to a home in Farmington, where they made the arrest.
