A man has been charged in the death of another man during a robbery more than a year ago.
Prosecutors have charged Jurvez Hicks with first-degree manslaughter in the death of 44-year-old Gary Barlow.
Barlow was attempting to sell Hicks a laptop in the parking lot of a convenience store at Kansas Expressway and I-44, when Hicks allegedly grabbed it and drove away.
Barlow attempted to get it back and was dragged by Hicks’s minivan.
Barlow died from his injuries.
