A man from Lawrence County, Chad Vierrether, has been sentenced to ten years in prison after pleading guilty to a series of burglaries and related crimes targeting businesses in the Aurora area.
He plead guilty to multiple charges stemming from nine break-ins that occurred late last year and early this year. The Aurora Police commented that the victims suffered significant financial loss.
Among the charges: Multiple counts of second-degree burglary, stealing, possession of a controlled substance, property damage, fraudulent use of a credit/debit device, possession of burglary tools and unlawful possession of drug paraphenalia.
The investigators of the Criminal Investigation Division used geospatial analysis and investigative work to identify the suspect.
Vierrether was prosecuted by the Lawrence County Prosecutor’s Office.
