Man from Richland in Custody, Charged with 10 Counts of Child Pornography

A man from Richland is faces ten charges of possession of child pornography after investigators say he uploaded hundreds of sexually explicit images.

61-year-old John Edward Clark was arrested at his home after deputies with the Camden County Sheriff’s Office served a search warrant.

At the home, authorities say they found a cell phone that was “actively displaying” child pornography. They also found a glass pipe that tested positive for meth.

Clark admitted to downloading child pornography months prior, but had since deleted it.

The investigation began after the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children provided a tip that an individual had uploaded over 200 images and videos of child sexual abuse material (CSAM) online through a Google account.

That account was in Clark’s name, and a zip file from the account contained child pornography when searched by law enforcement.

He is being held in the Camden County Jail. Details of his bond have not been released.
