Man from Springfield Sentenced to Life in Prison in Connection with Quadruple Murder

A man from Springfield will spend the rest of his life in prison for his alleged role in a quadruple murder.

Prosecutors say Scott Goodwin-Bey was convicted by a jury on four counts of first-degree murder after four people were shot and killed at the Economy Inn on North Glenstone in November of2014.

It is one of the deadliest individual shootings in Springfield history.

The four victims killed were:

  • Danielle Keyes
  • Lewis Green
  • Trevor Fantroy
  • Christopher Freeman

Defense attorneys have already said they will be appealing the conviction.

Goodwin-Bey was sentenced to four separate life sentences for the four charges, to be served consecutively and without the possibility of parole.
