What We Know: A deadly hit-and-run in Ozark County has led to criminal charges against a man from Wasola.

Ransom Uchtman is charged with leaving the scene of a crash, second-degree involuntary manslaughter and armed criminal action.

What It Means: Deputies were called to Highway 181, just north of the Gainesville School District office, early Monday, after friends found Zachariah Morris’ body in a ditch.

Investigators say a disagreement between the two men earlier that evening may have played a role. They’re also looking into whether drugs or alcohol were involved.
