45-year-old Samuel “Sam” Barnett of Seymour has pleaded guilty to sexual abuse charges involving two children.
The children, a boy and a girl, were allegedly abused by Barnett on numerous occasions from 2017 to 2019.
A second individual was initially charged in the case, but those charges were later dropped.
Barnett was charged with statutory sodomy, statutory rape, sexual abuse and child molestation. He is being held in the Webster County Jail.
His sentencing has been scheduled for June 27 at 1 p.m.
