Man sentenced for assaulting neighbors with hatchet in Wright County

A Wright County man has been sentenced to seven years in prison for attacking his neighbors with a hatchet back in June 2024.

What We Know: On June 4, 2024, Jason Bailey engaged in an altercation with two neighbors, attacking them with a hatchet.

When police arrived on the scene, the victims were found with multiple injuries from the hatchet. Bailey also suffered an injury to the back of his head.

Bailey pleaded guilty to second-degree assault on June 30, 2026. He has been sentenced to seven years in prison and was given credit for the 399 days he has already spent in jail.
