The May 2025 incident occurred at a McDonald’s on West Sunshine Street in Springfield.
Employees reported that a man drove directly to the pickup window with a pistol on his lap, pointed at the building.
After presenting a sticker from a previous order, Wesley Burton was given food because of the visible weapon and left without paying.
Burton later ran from police before abandoning his vehicle and fleeing on foot.
Officers recovered two pistols from the car.
As a convicted felon, Burton is prohibited under federal law from possessing firearms.
