A man from Christian County is charged with threatening two elderly people.
The Christian County Sheriff’s Department says a deputy responded to a domestic incident at a house in Sparta on Saturday.
An elderly couple told the deputy that a man who lived with them, Jason Maloney, had been drinking heavily and threatened them with a semi-automatic rifle with attached bayonet.
He was taken into custody and is charged with 2 counts of first-degree harassment and unlawful use of a weapon.
