What we know: Back-to-school shopping will cost you a little less this weekend, as all local and state sales tax will be waived on certain school supplies shopping.
What qualifies:
– Clothing, any article priced at $100 or less per item
– School Supplies: Purchases totaling $50 or less
– Computers : Devices priced at $1,500 or less
– Computer Software: Programs priced at $350 or less
When it’s happened: Missouri’s 2026 tax free weekend will start at Friday, August 7, 2026 at 12:01 a.m. and last through Sunday, August 9, at midnight.
