The Missouri Senate has advanced legislation aimed at reforming the Missouri State High School Activities Association.

Sponsored by Senator Jason Bean, the bill is expected to be voted on in the Senate and, if approved, will proceed to the Missouri House.

The revised bill focuses on oversight of the appeals process rather than taking over MSHSAA, proposing a governor-appointed board for this oversight.

The future of the bill remains uncertain as lawmakers have only five weeks left in the 2026 legislative session.
