Voters in both the Republic and Willard School Districts approved money issues in Tuesday’s election.
More than 70% of voters said yes to a $22 million “no tax increase” bond issue in Republic, while Willard School District voters approved two separate issues.
More than 78% of voters in the Willard district approved a $30 “no tax increase” bond measure, and just under 68% said yes to the district transferring 22 cents of the levy from debt-service to operating.
The city of Fair Grove’s $1 million bond issue for sewer system improvements passed, with voters in Fair Grove’s fire protection district agreeing to an addition 20 cent levy on $100 assessed value to provide money for full time firefighters, infrastructure improvements and equipment purposes.
The Christian County Ambulance District’s property tax issue passed by only 243 votes.
The Ozark Fire Protection District’s bond issue to improve emergency services by constructing and renovating fire stations failed because it didn’t get the 57% needed for passage.
