What We Know: Eight people were killed on Missouri roads over the Labor Day holiday weekend.

What It Means: The Missouri State Highway Patrol says troopers investigated 213 crashes between Friday evening and late Monday night. Another 82 people were injured.

Troopers also made 123 DWI arrests during the holiday counting period.

There were fewer crashes and injuries than last Labor Day, but twice as many traffic deaths. Four people were killed in crashes investigated by the Patrol during the 2025 holiday.

On Missouri’s waterways, nine boating crashes were reported, with one injury and no deaths or drownings.

What’s Next: The Patrol says this year’s numbers are preliminary and could change.
