MSHP Says Troop D Has Set a Record For Drownings This Year

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says there have been a record number of drownings in Troop D this year.

The Patrol says eight people have drowned so far this year and four people have died in boating accidents.

The Patrol says the early summer weather has caused the drowning number to be high before Labor Day.

Troop D’s area includes Greene, Christian, Stone and Taney Counties.
