Fire crews in Branson are on the scene of an explosion at a hotel near Highway 248 and Shepherd of the Hills Expressway.
Witnesses report seeing an explosion at the hotel and there are blown-out windows near the pool area.
The hotel is the Spark by Hilton Branson Meadows at 263 Shepherd of the Hills Expressway.
Branson Fire Chief Ted Martin tells Reporter Jason Wert with Branson-Tri Lakes News on scene that one civilian has minor injuries and was transported to a hospital in Springfield. And one firefighter, who was on scene when the explosion happened, stayed on to fight the fire and is getting checked out at a hospital in Branson.
Martin says a construction crew was working near the pool area when gas filled up the building.
The fire department was trying to disperse the gas when something sparked the explosion.
