New COVID-19 Boosters Available to Children in Springfield Starting Thursday

Newly approved COVID-19 booster shots will be available later this week to children ages 5-11.

The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services approved shots from both Moderna as well as Pfizer/BioNTech on Tuesday.

The approval comes following authorization from the FDA and a recommendation from the CDC.

The new boosters will be available on Thursday in Springfield for any child ages 5-11 who is at least two months removed from their last vaccine dose.
