Officers with the Ozark Police Department are holding an event to showcase what a police officer does for children in the area.
OPD is taking part in its third-ever “Hero-In-Training” exercise, where some 100 children in Ozark will get the opportunity to see the day-to-day operations of its officers.
Officers say it’s an opportunity to reach out to the community in a positive way, as well as a chance to give back.
The event began in 2021, and has become an annual tradition.
“Hero-In-Training 2023” took place today, August 16.
