Ozarks Food Harvest CEO Bart Brown Announces Retirement

What We Know: Ozarks Food Harvest President and CEO Bart Brown is getting ready to retire after nearly three decades with the organization.

What It Means: Brown plans to step down in March of 2027 after leading the Springfield-based food bank since 2002.

During his time as CEO, annual food distribution has grown from 4 million meals to more than 23 million.

What’s Next: Brown also helped expand programs that provide food to children and families struggling with hunger across southwest Missouri.

He’ll remain on the job through March while the organization’s board conducts a national search for his replacement.
