What We Know: Seven men are facing felony allegations following a prostitution sting in Stone County.
What It Means: The Sheriff’s Office says the arrests happened on October 16th, with several law enforcement agencies working together to crack down on people accused of paying for sex.
All seven men were arrested on suspicion of patronizing prostitution. One was also placed on an immigration hold.
Susan Prine, with the Stand Against Trafficking Coalition, says stopping human trafficking means going after the people creating the demand.
What’s Next: She says tourist areas like Table Rock Lake raise additional concerns, and teaching young people what to watch for is an important part of prevention.
A similar operation in Taney County earlier this year led to eight arrests.
