What We Know: A familiar piece of Springfield art is coming back, just in a different spot.
What It Means: The Robert E. Smith mural that once stood at Walnut and Campbell was painted over earlier this year.
Now, local artists are recreating it at 338 North Boonville Avenue, overlooking the Renew Jordan Creek project downtown.
Meg Wagler and Christine Riutzel are taking on the project.
What’s Next: They hope to start painting on October 5th and have the mural finished by the end of the month.
