Pharmacist in Ft. Leonard Wood Sentenced for Stabbing Supervisor in the Head, Face

A pharmacist in Fort Leonard Wood will spend over a decade in prison after pleading guilty to stabbing his supervisor in the head and face.

Prosecutors say 65-year-old Robert Sapp was approached by the supervisor in December of 2021 for a private conversation.

Video footage of the incident shows him pulling a knife out of his pocket, then approaching and attacking his supervisor.

Investigators reported that Sapp knocked the supervisor to the ground, and stabbed him several times in the face and head.

The victim was rushed to General Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital with multiple stab wounds, two of which were confirmed to be in his head.

Sapp attempted to flee the scene in his vehicle, but was eventually apprehended by Military Police.

MP’s found the knife in Sapp’s possession, covered in blood and hair. They also reported that blood was found both on Sapp’s clothing, as well as in his car.

He pleaded guilty to assault with intent to commit murder in May of last year, but was sentenced this week to 12 years and 7 months in prison without parole.
