Residents from the city of Marshfield and Webster County are continuing their effort to stop the construction of a new data center north of the city.
Those who own land and live near the site have expressed concerns about a lack of transparency as well as any risks to the health, safety, and wildlife of the region.
Though Webster County does not have a planning and zoning commission, residents are working with county commissioners to install more restrictions on data centers planned there.
A public meeting will be held Monday, May 11, at 10 a.m. inside the Marshfield High School Auditorium to discuss the issue.
