What We Know: Republic police are asking for the public’s help as they investigate a reported sexual assault earlier this week.
Police say the incident happened around 6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18, near a walking trail in the area of Oakwood and Lee Street.
What It Means: Investigators say details remain limited, but the suspect is described as a white man, about 5-foot-7 to 5-foot-8, weighing between 180 and 200 pounds, with brown hair.
Police are especially interested in security and doorbell camera video from homes and businesses near the area.
What’s Next: Residents are being asked to check any footage recorded between 4 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Tuesday for anything that could help investigators.
