93.3 KWTO Keeping Watch Over the Ozarks
The St. Louis County Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a fugitive who escaped from a St. Louis area hospital, who has ties to Greene County.
45-year-old Tommy Boyd was transported from the Potosi Correctional Facility to Mercy Hospital South on Wednesday, where he was seen leaving on foot early Thursday morning.
He was sentenced to 30 years in prison in 2008 on charges of enticement of a child.
The crime occurred in Springfield, where Boyd allegedly attempted to kidnap a young boy, who was able to escape the attempted sexual assault.
Officers describe Boyd as a 5’7″, 150 pound male with a beard and balding hair. He was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt, black jacket and orange slippers.
