Wehmeyer is currently charged with resisting arrest by fleeing, creating a substantial risk of death. However, prosecutors say more charges could be filed against him in the case.

A candlelight vigil for Carson will be held Tuesday at 8:00pm at the Osage Beach Police Department located on City Parkway.

Officer Carson’s funeral will be held Thursday, September 5, at the Lodge of the Four Seasons on Four Seasons Drive in Lake Ozark, with a visitation from 11:00am to 1:00pm. Funeral services will be held immediately following.
