Police Report “Shots Fired” Calls Up In Springfield

The Springfield Police Department says “shots fired” calls were up in March and April.

Police say that as of last week they had responded to 120 reports of gunfire.

They say in the past few years, the average of “shots fired” calls run between 20 to 30 a month.

However, Springfield Police say most of the calls involve people who know each other.
