The outgoing president of Missouri State University has been given the Key to the City by Springfield’s mayor.
Mayor Ken McClure presented President Clif Smart with the Key during the M-S-U Board of Governors meeting Thursday morning.
Smart has been president at M-S-U since 2011 and is retiring at the end of the semester.
