A man from Purdy has been charged after a crash in Barry County Friday night.
According to court records, Biak Cin (36) of Purdy was charged with DWI and serious physical injury.
Cin was traveling eastbound when he crossed the center of a roadway and hit an SUV head-on. The SUV driver, a 16 year-old boy from Purdy had moderate injuries but the passenger, a 15 year-old girl from Purdy, sustained serious injuries. Both were taken to Cox Hospital in Springfield.
According to troopers on the scene Cin had bloodshot eyes and a strong odor of intoxicants. His blood alcohol level was .183%.
Court documents show Cin was previously convicted of DWI in 2024 in Barry County.
Cin sustained no injuries.
