A man from Purdy has been sentenced in federal court for trafficking fentanyl, cocaine, heroin, and illegally possessing a firearm.
What We Know: Dennis E. McMullen, age 69, was sentenced to eight years in prison for possessing several drugs with intent to distribute. He was also charged and sentenced for illegal possession of a firearm.
Investigators enacted a search of a rural Purdy home in July of 2024, where they found several suspicious substances, a .22 caliber pistol and McMullen, Ronald Green, and an eight-year-old girl.
Officers seized and tested the substances found in the home. After analysis, the substances where identified as cocaine, fentanyl, heroin, and lidocaine.
The U.S. Department of Justice has said that McMullen has prior convictions of forgery, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, money laundering and solicitation to kill a federal witness.
