Republic High School Student Investigated for “Threatening” Social Media Post

Officers with the Republic Police Department investigated an area high school student who allegedly made a “threatening” post via social media.

Authorities say they were contacted by representatives from the app Thursday about the post.

School resource officers then located the student and questioned him about the post and his intentions.

Reports say those investigating found the threat “not credible”, and do not believe there is any threat towards students and employees in the district at this time.
