What We Know: Republic students now have a new place to practice, compete and take part in school activities.

What It Means: The Republic School District held a grand opening Wednesday for its new activities center behind Republic High School.

The 122,000-square-foot facility includes space for student activities, a large indoor turf area and a community room that can seat up to 150 people.

Construction started in 2025 and finished on budget.

What’s Next: The new center will also free up space inside Republic High School for students and staff.
