What We Know: Summer just got a little easier for families looking for something fun to do in Springfield.
Rutledge-Wilson Farm Park is now open seven days a week through Labor Day, giving visitors an extra day to enjoy everything the popular attraction has to offer.
The park is typically closed on Mondays during much of the year, but the summer schedule brings daily access while school is out.
Park hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m..
What It Means: Visitors can spend time around farm animals, explore the grounds, and learn a little about agriculture while enjoying a relaxed day outside.
What’s Next: The park is also preparing for another season of youth summer camps.
The camps give children an opportunity to learn new skills, spend time outdoors, and interact with animals in a safe and educational setting.
The summer programs have become a popular tradition for many local families.
