A second suspect has been identified and charged following a shooting on New Year’s Day in Battlefield.

What We Know: Ryder Lindemann, age 17, was charged with first-degree attempted robbery, first-degree burglary and two counts of armed criminal action after he and another man, Timothy Kirby, broke into a home and shot a woman on January 1st.

Kirby was already charged with first-degree assault, armed criminal action, second-degree assault, first-degree burglary and two counts of armed criminal action after the incident.

Lindemann and Kirby allegedly broke into a home wearing ski masks and demanded money. Kirby then shot an elderly woman in the home, resulting in her needing surgery to remove her spleen and kidney.

What It Means: Lindemann is currently being held without bond in Greene County Juvenile Detention Center until he turns 18. He pleaded not guilty in the case.
