There’s a good bet for periods of showers and thunderstorms in southwest Missouri this week.
What We Know: Confidence is increasing in periods of shower and thunderstorm chances on Wednesday and Thursday, with a 60 to 90 percent chance for rain.
What We Don’t Know: There is still lingering uncertainty on the area of heaviest amounts of rain and exact timing.
What It Means: Rain will be beneficial to the Ozarks following hot and dry conditions in August and the first half of September. There’s also a Level 1 out of 5 “Marginal Risk” for severe thunderstorms on Wednesday, primarily for areas along and west of Highway 65.
