SPD Investigating Homicide in Weekend Shooting

Police are investigating after a woman was killed in Springfield on Saturday.

Springfield PD responded to a home at 2652 Glenview Avenue off of South Ingram Mill Road around 10:30 a.m. Saturday morning.

Reports say when officers arrived, they found 42-year-old Ada Hodgkins with a severe gunshot wound.

First responders were able to get Hodgkins to a local hospital, where she later died of her injuries.

SPD investigated and identified a suspect, but have been unable to locate them.
