Sports Wagering Legislation is on the Rocks

Missouri’s Senate Pro Tem Caleb Rowden says that the legislature is unlikely to approve sports wagering this session.

The House voted 118-35 in March to approve wagering on sports, but Caleb Rowden says there are roadblocks in the Senate.

33 states and the District of Columbia now offer some form of sports betting. One State Representative says during the Cheifs-Bengals playoff game in January, there were more than 1.1 million bets made on the game, with the majority of them around the Missouri/Kansas state line.
