Springfield Central Labor Council Hosting Annual Labor Day Picnic

In what has become a yearly tradition, the Springfield Central Labor Council is preparing for next week’s Labor Day parade and picnic.

The festivities will begin on Monday, September 2, with a parade at 10:00am starting at the corner of John Q. Hammons Parkway and Grand Street, and will end at Fassnight Park.

United Way of the Ozarks President and CEO Brandi VanAntwerp has been announced as the Grand Marshal of the parade.

A picnic will follow at 11:00am which is free to the public, and it will include live musical performances, as well as a car show.

The picnic will end at 2:00pm with awards being announced for individual winners of the car show.
