What It Means: State Representative Alex Riley has been selected to receive the university’s 2026 Government Excellence Award.
Riley represents Greene County’s 134th District and currently serves as House majority floor leader.
University officials say Riley has supported higher education funding, campus improvements, and legislation allowing Missouri State to offer doctoral programs.
What’s Next: The university will present the award during its fall commencement ceremony on December 11th.
