The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a man from Springfield has drowned at the Lake of the Ozarks early Wednesday morning.
What We Know: A 35-year-old man drowned at Ledges Cove at the 21 mile marker of the Lake of the Ozarks at around 3:49 a.m., according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The man entered the water from a docked boat, submerged after some time, and never resurfaced. He was not wearing a life jacket according to the report.
Divers were able to recover the man’s body and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The man’s identity has not be released, but next of kin has been notified.
